The Alton Ride

A glorious day for the ride to Alton this year.

Thanks to Russell for the slight route variation keeping us off the main roads and introducing a few additional 'nice hills'. A great saying Russ "Steep is good!"

About 56 mile covered.

Just a tootle to Cannock Chase on Sunday to keep the legs moving before the BIG UN.

Stafford Grand Prix Cycling Race

Don't forget the cycle racing through the town on the evening of the 29th June.

The 'Go Ride' Event / 'Bike Ability' supporting event starts at 6.15pm

The 'Schools Race' starts at 7pm

The 'Elite Pro Criterium' event starts at 8.20pm

Brewood Cycle Challenge

The Brewood Cycle Challenge was exactly that with two very tough climbs, but was a very well organised event.

The sun shone most of the time but we did get a bit of downpour at The Wrekin checkpoint.

350 riders, good atmosphere and a bite to eat at the end.

Put this in your diaries for 2012, it's very worth it.
