The first training ride report for 2010

There were nine of us on this, our first training ride, I think we all more or less did about the same mileage, but I can't tell you how long exactly, as no one's speedos were working (oops), but I would say it was somewhere between 15 and 18 miles, we went through the usual villages, Bradley, Lapley, Haughton, ending up at the Red Lion at Derrington for some well earned chips.

I had the first puncture of the year, but luckily it was just as we approached the pub and Adam came to my rescue and fixed it for me, thank you Adam.

Friday's meeting

Hi everyone,

Can I ask you all a favour please.

Of course you don’t have to have a drink when you come to the meeting on Friday at The Swan, BUT, if you do, can you ask for a receipt from the bar staff and let me have it please.

I know this might sound a little unusual BUT I’ve paid a £20 booking fee for the room which I will get back assuming that between us we purchase £20 worth of drinks, which I’m pretty sure we will.

The bar staff will be aware of why receipts are being requested.

2010 planning

Hi Bikers,

Happy New Year!

I am organising a meeting to get things off the ground, for this years ride, at the coffee shop at the Swan Hotel.

It will be on Friday 26th Feb at 7pm, with a balti afterwards, at Spice Island at 9pm, if I can get a table.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to be included in the balti group.

January ride

Christmas balti night reminder

The table is booked for 8pm at Spice Island.

November's Autumn ride

Hi Guys.
We did 29 miles door to door last Sunday.
There were just three of us, me, Tracey and the new kid on the block, Richard, who is very keen to do the ride next year.
We went to Haughton, Lapley, Church Eaton, Gnosall and Ranton, finishing off on the disused railway, lucky for us the weather was lovely!
The next ride will be Sunday 13th December, everyone welcome, 10am at the castle, as usual.

Hope to catch up with everyone then and also at the balti on 5th.
