A great turn out last Sunday for the ride. Jackie, Rebecca, Zoe, Eunice, Paul Dave and Don took the back route to Norbury. Weather for this week isn't looking bad either. Usual time this week.
Here are the certificates from Katherine House for last year's Llandudno ride.
According to their record The Balti Bike Club have now raised over £10,000 for them and that's for Katherine House alone, over double that has been raised for various charities in total.
Well done to everyone who has been involved, riders, support crew, sponsors and families.
With just five weeks to go to the big ride it was off to Milwich again. About a 40-mile undulating route with a well-earned break at The Green Man for some of our favourite chips.
Hi Guys. As you know I have reserved all the rooms at the Plas Isa in Criccieth, I have rung them this morning and they say that they only have two rooms booked so far.
Could you please let them know as soon as possible, if you are wanting to book a room there, so they can fill the rooms with other guests.
The phone number is 01766 522443.
There are lots of other hotels available if you would prefer. Thanks Jackie x
Last week we went to the Spiders Web at Cosford, very nice ride, plus the weather was much warmer, we did about 40 miles in all.
This Sunday we plan to go to Norbury Junction, so meeting at the castle as normal.
The Balti Bike Club was set up over 18 years ago by cyclists in and around Stafford who decided to give something back, by raising funds for local charities and keeping fit at the same time. We have an annual ‘big ride’ and in 2013 we are undertook a 116 mile route to Criccieth. After a year off in 2014 we're back and this year's ride is the 110 mile route to Barmouth.
