A big event for Paul

We wish Paul the very best of luck on his big challenge next week, as he takes on the 933 mile John O'Groats to Lands End in just 10 days. Day one is a 96 mile taster of what's to come.

With all the training he's done I'm sure it wont cause him too many issues.

...and don't forget to bring us back a haggis!

Training 15th May

Yet another blustery day, lets hope that July wont be like this!

Eunice led the ride again, heading the quiet way to Penkridge then through Pottle Pool and the big climb to Spring Slade Lodge for a bacon and egg sandwich (which has to be one of the favourite food stops now).

After, we headed towards Birches Valley and went off-road towards Seven Springs, tootled our way back through the Haywards and Tixall getting home in time for lunch.

Not too tough this week.

The hairy chinned bikers

After a training ride to Norbury Junction two weeks ago, then a ride to Birches Valley over Cannock Chase last week, this week saw the unshaven members go to the other favourite of ours, ‘The Spider’s Web’.

Although warm, the day was ‘flippin’ windy, AGAIN, but it was worth it for one of those bacon and egg sandwiches. There must have been 50 cyclings at the cafe this week.

About 45 miles in total to add to the bank.

More fun next Sunday.
