Info for the 'BIG DAY'

Hi Guys,

The big day is looming!

Here is some info for the day.

We are meeting at the castle at 5.30am to set off promptly at 6am.

There will be cool boxes to put your lunch in, plus extra food and water in the support vehicles, along with first aid kits.

Andy will be posting direction signs along the way and chalking messages on the road, so keep an eye out for those.

You can bring your luggage on the morning, or pass it to Pete, Phil or us, the night before, please liaise if necessary.

The evening meal is booked for 9pm, to give us time to shower etc.

I have emailed everyone's phone numbers, please put them into your phones, especially the support group numbers if you are a rider, as you never know if and when you may need them!

Also, please make sure that your phones are fully charged.

But most importantly, have a good ride!

Six pedal out for a cup of tea

Traditionally the last training ride before the Big Day is a gentle 20 miles or so. An early start at the Castle gave us plenty of time to make our way via Penkridge to this season's favourite haunt ‘The Tea Pot’. Cups of tea spilling off the table, cakes and sandwhiches eaten. It was a quick pass over the Chase to Brocton finishing with the Walton Lane climb and off home before lunch.
