Training ride report for 23rd May

Jackie, Eunice, Zoe, Becky, Paul, Russell and Rich did 70 - 76 miles on Sunday, cycling out to the breakfast stop for the 'Big Ride'.

It was very hot, drank loads of water etc, the lady in the pub, filled our bottles up and gave us a pint glass of ice cubes, bless her, I think she felt for us!

Well done everyone!

Krypton Factor Assault Course

Ok I know it's got nowt to do with cycling but I have bored most of you during the rides with the story of doing the Krypton Factor Assault Course.

If you get a chance to do this, take it, it took three hours to get there, we got soaked, filthy, bruised and grazed but it was blinkin' great fun.

A short video of our experience is on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GupOnC304IY

Milwich and East Staffordshire part 2

Much the same route as last week but a longer way round, we covered around 45 - 50 miles this time with a stop at The Green Man for several cups of tea and a sandwich. Great to see Neil out on his new bike!!!

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Hello all. I have been without a bike for some time. However, I just had a new one, so have actually started some training. Me and Adan had a gentle tootle down to Stone last night for a pint. The the picture is of me setting off, with my good lady wife wishing me fond farewell. As you can see, I have also had a new helmet. Neil

An eventful day

Sunday's training ride took us via Milwich to the East Staffordshire countryside with some gorgeous views through the villages.

There very a few little incidents where riders were separated from the bikes at low(ish)-speed but hopefully no lasting damage.

Just eight weeks to go now!

See you Sunday to 10 if you can make it.

Training ride report for 2nd May

It was the 'usual suspects' out again this week with a ride going the long way round (and back) to our other favourite - Birches Valley.

Quite cold and a bit windy.

Hope to see you all, and more, this Sunday, 10 o'clock at the castle.

Training ride report for 25th April

One of our favourite rides - the long way to The Spider's Web Cafe at Cosford.

A beautiful day again and the best bacon butty ever!
