WE DID IT!

The weather was superb, just a little chilly to start with, a light breeze, sun, what more could five riders ask for with a 115 mile challenge ahead.

The support crew were second to none - a massive thanks guys.

The route, although very challenging a times, was something else, great scenery, great downhills and the new ending along the cycle track at the side of the estuary was a brilliant end to the ride.

A MASSIVE thank you to all who have helped, supported, sponsored, just so many kind people who have given their time, money and support!

Cheers

A message from Rob

“Good luck for the big one tomorrow – I’ll be thinking about you.”

“Power to your thighs and fingers crossed for a following wind!”

A thank you to the 'Yes Men'

A huge thanks once again to David Hanley of Yes Response for the use of the van for the fifth year running to support this year's event.

And also to David Patrick of Yes Agency for funding the fuel costs this year.

We couldn't do it without your help.

Many, many thanks guys!

Big ride start time

On Saturday, the plan is to meet at 6.00am at the castle for final pics, video, getting 'stuff' on the van and get underway at 6.30 sharp.

If anyone want's to put their overnight bag on the van beforehand to save pedaling it to the castle, please can you let Pete know and we can arrange to get that sorted on Thursday or Friday evening.

Training ride report for 3rd July

The sun shone, the wind was just a breeze, let's hope that it's another day like that on Saturday.

Although this was supposed to be just a 'tootle' we travelled at a really good pace through Coppenhall to Penkridge, on to Pottle Pool and had a stop at Spring Slade on Cannock Chase where we had a surprise addition of Rick joining us for lunch, out on his new bike (I think we have a new recruit for 2012).

About 25 miles covered with a couple of undulations.

Just a few days to go to the BIG RIDE!
