The first training ride of 2013

It's the first training ride of the year this Sunday, the 3rd of March.

We were thinking of doing the Lapley ride, it’s fairly flat and it can easily be made longer or shorter, depending on; the weather, our weary legs and our sore bottoms.

Meet at Stafford castle at 10am, hangover or not!

Saturday's meeting

Hi Guys.

Just to remind you, the meeting is booked for this Saturday, the 2nd of March, at 7pm in the coffee shop at the Swan Hotel.
I have also booked a table at Navarna for those who have said they would like to go for a meal afterwards, it's by the cinema for 9pm, it is a bring your own drink place.
If anyone else would like to come please let me know as soon as poss.

Meeting for 2013 ride

Hi Guys.

We are organising an initial meeting to kick off this years ride and training schedule.

We are meeting at the Swan coffee shop on Saturday 2nd March at 7pm and then going for a curry afterwards, the curry is optional.

The first training ride will be the following morning, Sunday 3rd meeting at the castle at 10am, hangover or not!

Just for information, the ‘big ride’ will take place on Saturday 6th July, we are riding to Cricieth 116 miles and I have provisionally reserved all the rooms at the Plas Isa hotel, which is where we stayed last time, the food was wonderful! If you would like to book, just mention my name and say that you are with the Balti Bike Club, but of course you can stay else where if you prefer. The number is 01766 522443.

Can you please let me know if you would like to come along for the curry, as I will need to book.

Film night

A 'mo'mentus social ride

The sun shone and the wind was light. All we needed for our annual social and family ride. A gentle pace along the old railway line to Gnosall where we gathered for lunch at The Navigation Inn where we were joined by some of our injured members. a thoroughly great event. We even had to stop for an ice cream on the way back as it was so warm.

Lupus 50k reliability trial

This 50 kilometer reliability trial is on Sunday the 9th of September, is only £3 and you can enter online or on the day.
